Strategies and Benefits for Meal Prepping

Meal preparation takes no time at all when you plan ahead of time. It may take some getting used to, but meal planning is a step in the right direction toward a healthier you. And it's possible that it'll turn into a new favorite habit. Start a fresh year with a strategic plan for your pantry and a new meal prep strategy, and you'll not only be able to expedite your cooking process, but you'll also be able to ensure that every meal you prepare is purposeful, inexpensive, healthful, and absolutely delicious. Today, we're going to reveal our meal-prepping ideas, which will help you manage your time and improve your cooking efficiency. 

Strategies:

-        Pre-chop the veggies. Chopping veggies such as carrots, onion, bell pepper, garlic, mushroom in advance can save a lot of time and you can also refrigerate them in small containers or Ziplock bags.

-        Prepare additional sauces or chutneys. Double the recipe for sauces and marinades, and save the leftovers for future meals.

-        Label the date on everything you preserve in the refrigerator/ freezer for meal prep. It will be easier for you to determine whether anything is edible or not, and you will be able to enjoy high-quality meals.

-        Load up on canned food if you don’t want to chop food.

-        Pre-marinate your chicken.

-        Wash herbs as soon as you get from the store and once it’s washed and dried, chop them the same day. Preserve them in a container and cover them with a paper towel.

-        Fresh fruits are wonderful and delicious to eat but if you want your berries to last long to be used for smoothies or desserts then freeze them.

-Keep your pre-mixed spice blend ready.
